Directions

From Chiang Mai take the 118 towards Chiang Rai, turning left along the canal road just after Doi Saket - signposted for Wang Tarn Resort. Before the resort, after about 5km, is the first significant surfaced road - turn left and then next left. The first road on the left is Soi 5 and Bula Re is at the end of the Soi. Note that appointments are required to view.

Neighborhood

The area is very rural and though housing estate developments are not allowed in the district there are any increasing number of substantial residences being built, often with foreigners involved. There are a number of restaurants in the area, including 4 Italian, 1 Swiss, 1 British and numerous Thai.
With wooded hills on three sides the area is naturally beautiful and peaceful, yet less than 30 minutes from Chiang Mai shopping malls and supermarkets.
